Benefit Sale... your
purchase will clothe Tibetan orphans at the
Menri Monastery in India.
Calla lilies
are universally recognized for their enchanting beauty and aesthetic
charm. The photos on this site and other photos will be on display
at the
Gesundheit Center at 12 St. Marks Place in New York City
from Friday, May13th until Sunday, July 3rd. 15% of all revenues will be
donated to the Bon Foundation. See
www.bonfoundation.org to
learn more the ancient Tibetan culture of Bon and the efforts underway to
preserve it (click here to make a contribution).
The
photographs are all original images by Sausalito photographer,
Tom
O'Connell, who has been capturing calla lily images for more than 30 years.
The prints in this exhibit are all digital. Tom works with
professional digital cameras and printers. He prints on fine art paper with archival
inks. These processes not only offer exceptional tonal control but also offer an archival permanence that
exceeds that of silver based photo printing.
Each of theses limited series of
photos is named for one of the orphans at the Menri Monastery and 15% of all
revenues from this project will go to the Monastery for the benefit of the
Tibetan orphans.
Tom is represented by Annette
Adams, Fine Art Consultant (see "Toy Lady" page on this website). Inquiries
about this benefit show and arrangements for future exhibitions or benefits
should be directed to Annette: CASA CALA LILY, 1005 ALTO STREET, SANTA FE,

. Annette and Tempa Lama (of the Menri Monastery and
current resident of Santa Fe, NM) will be leading a trek to go birding in
Bhutan. Tempa
is from the village of Torpa in Humla, Nepal. Annette and Tempa Lama will
use the profits fro this trip to build a Bonpo school in Tempa's home town
of Torpa.
